Golden Triangle BID Goes Mobile: New Mobile Friendly Website Launched Just in Time for Restaurant Week

WASHINGTON– Washington, DC’s Golden Triangle Business Improvement District (BID) has launched its new mobile-friendly website to help smartphone users navigate the Golden Triangle. The launch comes just in time for Restaurant Week and users are encouraged to sign up and win a dinner for two at one of the 21 participating Golden Triangle restaurants.

“The new Golden Triangle mobile-friendly website redesign is part of our many efforts to connect our members and visitors to the 600 shops and restaurants within the Golden Triangle community,” said Leona Agouridis, executive director of the Golden Triangle BID. “Anyone with a smartphone can navigate the Golden Triangle and learn about the exciting events that go on in our neighborhood.”

The Golden Triangle Ambassadors, widely known as our friendly welcoming committee who give directions and keep the streets clean, are also “Open Air Concierges” who now carry iPhones to help visitors virtually locate their destination.

The new mobile-friendly website includes full listings of events and promotions from neighborhood restaurants and shops. It includes everything from book signings, upcoming stand-up comedy shows, discounted spa services, concerts, happy hour deals and more from the 600+ shops and restaurants in the Golden Triangle. To view the Golden Triangle website on your smartphone, please go to m.goldentriangledc.com.

“Restaurant Week is so widely popular and to have Ambassadors on the street with iPhones helping both visitors and residents easily locate the many fabulous Golden Triangle restaurants is an incredible resource and combined with the incredible deals offered during Restaurant Week a great innovation. Thank you Golden Triangle BID,” added Lynne Breaux, president of the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington.

Golden Triangle restaurants participating in Restaurant Week include Teatro Goldoni, The Palm, Vidalia, The Oval Room, Smith & Wollensky and 16 other fine restaurants.
