Registration for Golden Streets, the annual tree box landscaping contest hosted by the Golden Triangle BID, is open now! If you are property manager at a commercial property located in the Golden Triangle neighborhood, we invite you to sign up by April 30, 2019.
A Collaboration with Smithsonian Gardens
This year we have teamed up with Smithsonian Gardens, a division of the Smithsonian Institution that designs and manages the Smithsonian’s grounds and interior plant displays in Washington, D.C., to cohost the Golden Streets event and to help expand their horticulture program while bringing greater visibility to the program and the neighborhood.
The theme this year is Pollinator Habitat. For more information about the theme and to request our Inspiration Kit please email Yiyang D’Allaird.
Why You Should Participate
By participating in Golden Streets, you will help beautify your property and the Golden Triangle neighborhood. Your Golden Streets tree box design can cost the same as your standard tree box creations. All landscaping displays will be featured in the Golden Streets marketing campaign which will increase visibility of your property. As in years past, we will recognize the best tree box designs through the Golden Streets Awards program and with prizes like an ad in the Washington Business Journal.
