Additional events in the Golden Triangle.
Earth Day, which is celebrated every year on April 22, is a time for individuals to step back and think about the impact they have on the environment. The BID brings together community and government partners to educate area workers on topics that are relevant to their everyday life. People pass by this interactive demonstration fair as they go to pick up lunch, and they find themselves also picking up facts about sustainability, the environment, and the Golden Triangle BID.
Bike to Work Day
The Golden Triangle BID is a proud partner of Bike to Work Day, a yearly event that seeks to celebrate and encourage bicycling as a healthy, enjoyable, and environmentally sound way to get to work. The BID hosts a pit stop each year at the busy Farragut Park. There, bikers find information and giveaways from key Golden Triangle members, light refreshments, music, and activities. The day always proves to be a success and showcases Golden Triangle as a clean, safe, and bike-friendly neighborhood home to hundreds of bike racks and bike lanes that line some of the busiest streets.
The Golden Triangle BID’s Lobby Fairs provide office building tenants and property managers with a comprehensive overview of the neighborhood, its restaurants and retailers, and Golden Triangle events. Employees who pass by enjoy asking questions about the area, getting coupons to local retailers, answering trivia questions to win prizes, and meeting other people who work in their building. If you see the BID in your lobby, be sure to stop by and say hello!
