The Golden Triangle BID’s signature summer event, Farragut Fridays, will run from May 31 through September 20. Each Friday, the Golden Triangle BID transforms Farragut Square into a community gathering place for area workers, residents and visitors.

Throughout the day, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Farragut Fridays features Outdoor Office presented by Comcast Business. From noon to 2 p.m. more seating is added for Picnic in the Park, which also features lawn games, such as giant Jenga, cornhole and table tennis.

Fun and unique pop-up events will be hosted each week during lunch time as well. Some of the scheduled pop-up partners for the 2019 season include The Magic Duel, International Spy Museum, Plaza Artist Materials & Picture Framing, DC Public Library, Eye Street Massage Therapy and Smithsonian Gardens. The Humane Rescue Alliance will host several adoption events and BID architecture and design firms will present EverBlock creations throughout the season. New to Farragut Fridays this year is a DC Makers Tent presented with the DC Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD) to feature activations, demonstrations, and opportunities to interact with DC makers and creatives. Check the events section on the Golden Triangle website for updates on Farragut Fridays pop-up activities and any schedule updates due to inclement weather.
