Washington, D.C. (February 25, 2021) – The Golden Triangle Business Improvement District (BID) is launching “Golden Getaway,” a giveaway honoring five deserving individuals for their services, acts of kindness, and hard work in their communities. Five winners will receive curated staycation packages that showcase the best in hospitality that the Golden Triangle has to offer.
From March 1-12, 2021, the public can nominate a deserving individual in the greater Washington, DC area, by visiting the Golden Triangle website. A distinguished panel of judges will then select five winners, whose inspiring stories will be shared in April. Judges include: Molette Green, NBC4 News4 Today reporter; Irene Johnson, NBC4 photographer and producer; Solomon Keene, President and CEO of the Hotel Association of Washington, DC; and Christianne Ricchi, owner of Ristorante i Ricchi.
“Our small businesses, hotels, first responders, service industry workers, and other essential workers have served daily as neighborhood anchors in the face of the incredibly challenging times of the past year,” said Leona Agouridis, Executive Director of the Golden Triangle BID. “We are delighted to partner with and showcase the many incredible businesses in our neighborhood while also giving thanks to people who have given so much to others.”
Giveaway packages include hotel accommodations from AC Hotel, The Hay-Adams, Hotel Lombardy, The Mayflower, and The St. Gregory Hotel Dupont Circle. Dining experiences will be provided by The Bombay Club, ForFive Coffee, Immigrant Food, The Lafayette, Morton’s Steakhouse, Pisco y Nazca, Ristorante i Ricchi, Taberna del Alabardero, and Un Je Ne Sais Quoi. Andre Chreky Salon and Ferro Salon are providing salon services.
