Art Ave featured free family-friendly events and an outdoor collection of museum-quality art, that culminated around the iconic Farragut Square— just steps from the White House.
…All in the Golden Triangle, directly north of the White House’s historic Lafayette Park along Connecticut Avenue NW.
Art Ave was enjoyed any time of the day. Many of the sculptures illuminated at dusk and several artworks included interactive elements to discover.

A self-guided mobile tour allowed visitors to discover more about Art Ave artworks and artists. At each stop, the app would provide more information that you could read or listen to. Although, Art Ave has ended, the app still houses a self-guided tour of our permanent art collection throughout the neighborhood. To explore museum-quality art, download the STQRY Guide app (iOS or Android).

Farragut Square was the perfect location, you could grab a drink or meal nearby and relax in the park. Connect with family, friends, or colleagues at a bistro table or linger in one of the comfy Parisian-style garden chairs scattered throughout the beautiful park surrounded by artwork.
Art Ave included a fun series of free events in Farragut Square during the spring and fall. The BID’s TriFit series offered free outdoor fitness classes with a certified instructor every Tuesday evening. Farragut Fun Days were held at lunchtime on Thursdays and brought the community a refreshing mid-day break with lawn games, interactive activities, and performances including the US Navy Band and the Mark H Taiko Connection Drumming Trio in partnership with the Embassy of Japan.
Art Ave was presented by the Golden Triangle BID and made possible by the DC Office of Planning’s Streets for People grant program.
