WASHINGTON, D.C., March 23, 2017 – Summer Fridays in the city! What better time and place to wind down the work week, enjoy leisure activities with friends, and gear up for the weekend? From May through September, the Golden Triangle Business Improvement District (BID) will present a wide array of free, outdoor events, highlighted by its signature “Farragut Fridays” series each week in Farragut Park, at Connecticut Avenue and K Street, NW, Washington, D.C.
Farragut Fridays are planned for each Friday, from May 12 through September 29. Each week, Farragut Park is activated with table set-ups from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for “outdoor office” use by area workers, with free WiFi access. From noon to 2 p.m. on each of the Fridays, the park comes alive for fun, lunchtime activities, including lawn games and “pop-up events,” which change each week. Examples of these activities include:

This year’s series kicks off on June 2 with recent Academy Award Best Picture nominee, Hidden Figures. Others in the 2017 series include Ferris Bueller, Moana, The Princess Bride, and Finding Dory. The complete schedule is posted on the web.
Once again this year, the Golden Triangle BID will also be presenting its TriFit series, featuring three types of outdoor exercise classes each week on three different days. All classes are free and will be offered from May 2 through September 28, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on the following days and at these locations:
