From building numerous rain gardens to installing bike racks to expanding the recycling program, the BID ensures the neighborhood is Gold and Green.
In 2019, the BID earned LEED Platinum – the highest level of LEED certification — under the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) LEED for Communities rating system. The Golden Triangle is the first business improvement district in the world to be named a LEED-certified community.
Thirty properties in the Golden Triangle have created spaces of environmental benefits, like: plantings that filter pollution, provide habitats for wildlife – like beehives, systems for absorbing rainwater, solar panels, and offer a calming space for employees and residents.
